C.H. Pearce is an Australian artist and a writer of weird, near-future speculative fiction. Her award-winning short fiction has been published or is forthcoming in Aurealis, Cosmic Horror Monthly, and The Off-Season: An Anthology of Coastal New Weird. Her favourite subjects are unsettling workplaces, doppelgängers, creepy-crawlies, and disaster humans (or entities) trying to connect.
Her short fiction has been nominated for a Ditmar Award in 2023, and shortlisted in Brave New Weird and the Aurealis Awards in 2024. She won a Ditmar Award for Best Fan Artist in 2022 and 2023, received a mentorship with the Australasian Horror Writers Association (AHWA) in 2022, and was shortlisted in Publishable in 2023.
She has a background in history and archives, and a Graduate Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing. She lives in Canberra with her partner and two small children. She is currently on submission with her first speculative horror novel and revising the next. She is a member of the HWA and SFWA.
